The second season of the Sam Shade era is on deck at Alabama A&M. The Bulldogs will open the season on Saturday, Aug. 29, against Howard in the MEAC/SWAC Challenge. The matchup is set at Center Parc Stadium in Atlanta.

For the first time since 2003, the Alabama A&M Bulldogs will have six games on the Hill in a season.

According to game contracts acquired by The Tuscaloosa News, Alabama will pay South Florida $300,000 within 30 days following the original 2026 game date against the Bulls. The remaining balance of the contract − $700,000 − will be paid within 30 days of the rescheduled game date.
