The San Jose Fire Department said it responded to two vehicles on fire at 12:14 a.m. Thursday on the 300 block of San Jose Avenue. The incident was closed at 1:09 a.m. with no injuries, authorities said.

Police said the 15-year-old girl was walking to school when the suspect approached her, pulled her into his vehicle, and sexually battered her.
