The allegations were laid out in a Justice Department memo arguing that Brian J. Cole Jr., who was arrested earlier this month on charges of placing pipe bombs outside the headquarters of the Democratic and Republican national committees, should remain locked up while the case moves forward.
The training pool closed at the Douglas facility in mid-December after damage to the pipe was discovered in its water circulation systems. Centre bosses said while repairs had been carried out, the facility was awaiting water quality results and the pool would stay closed until Monday, with a further update to be issued then.
