Q: I was told you should mow against the slope of the lawn. If the lawn slopes toward the street, mow parallel to the street. Last summer, I noticed many lawns being mowed perpendicular to the slope!
Horizontal lines run left to right, parallel to the horizon, with slope 0 and equation y = k. Vertical lines run top to bottom, perpendicular to the horizon, with undefined slope and equation x = k.
