Lovely to see the late, great Fred Dibnah back on our screens tonight on BBC Four and right here in Llangollen! Watching Fred explore our corner of the world with his infectious passion for industrial history and engineering was a real treat. His down-to-earth charm and deep respect for Britain’s working heritage still resonates today. There’s no doubt that he inspired a good many of our volunteers to get involved with the railway. We caught up with Clive, one of our guards on today’s train, and he summed it up perfectly – the atmosphere on the Santa Trains is absolutely amazing. Smiles, laughter and Christmas cheer all along the line. While our Santa Specials are now completely sold out, the festive season continues on the Llangollen and Corwen Railway.
