This Video is on Stick welding overhead with 7018 electrodes. Amperage needs to be hot enough so that when you hold a very tight arc , the rod will not stick. Arc length needs to be short. Rod angle needs to be kept to a minimum..only 5-15 degrees. A long arc will result in molten metal falling out of the puddle and will not produce good results.
