Japan’s L0 Series maglev train holds the world record for the fastest manned train, reaching an incredible 603 km/h (375 mph) during a test run on the Yamanashi Maglev Test Line. Powered by superconducting magnetic levitation, the train glides above the tracks without touching them, dramatically reducing friction and allowing for extreme speeds.
