Widespread showers, thunderstorms and areas of rain are forecast for much of Queensland over the coming days. The remnants of ex-Tropical Cyclone Koji continue to draw in significant moisture, posing a risk of localised falls and flash flooding. Today, the risk of heavy rainfall extends through central Queensland and the Wide Bay Burnett district. From Wednesday, the risk area will shift to the north-west and the northern interior of the state as ex-Tropical Cyclone Koji moves into the region. T

The new Toowoomba weather radar in Queensland is now live. The new radar adds coverage to current radar gaps to the west and south-west of Toowoomba. This includes the northern parts of the Moonie and Border rivers catchments, the upper Condamine River catchment and the mining and resources precinct around Chinchilla.
