Can you imagine how scary or unsettling a visual hallucination may be? What they see is as real as everything else they see. How are they supposed to know what to be concerned about or not? When someone experiences hallucinations because of dementia, the confusion hallucinations cause just pile on the already confusing world they live in because of shorty term memory loss, disorientation, etc. it’s no wonder some of these same people demonstrate “behaviors”.
