Bakewell's a small town in Derbyshire that's really close to Sheffield. We're both Sheffield lads so we felt duty bound to make a Bakewell tart that would do the town justice. This recipe took a fair old while to perfect but goodness gracious, it was worth it. It takes a while to make but if you like Bakewell Tart, you simply have to set aside a couple of hours on a Sunday and make it. You will not be disappointed, at all. Not one jot. Happy cooking!
