Why does Facebook feel infinite now? Because it is. Because the feed is no longer “your friends’ posts.” The feed is now built like this: 1. A small sprinkle of friends/family posts 2. Posts from groups or pages you interact with 3. Then the algorithm fills empty space with “suggested” content (Reels, strangers’ posts, ad-slash-influencer content, etc.) And since there is always new suggested content, you can never “catch up.” This is deliberate.
