Tunbridge Wells prepares for the beginning of war. 1914. Only a few short years after the Edwardian era, many youngsters in those photographs were preparing for war in France. Regiments set up on the common and marched through the town; up London Road and down past the Pantiles. They boarded trains for the coast at the Central and Great West Stations.
