This video highlights the heroic efforts of conservationists at a bird sanctuary on Maui during the tragic brushfires this past week. The Maui Bird Conservation Center is home to critically endangered birds like honeycreepers, which are unique to the tropical islands and have melodic names like the palila, kiwikiu and ‘akikiki. The center also houses some of the last remaining ‘alala, or Hawaiian crows, which are now completely extinct in the wild. All of their birds are now safe. 🙏🏼 We stand
